Protobuf Editor
The Protobuf Editor opens .proto files. Every message, service, enum, oneof and extend is a card; syntax,
package, import, option and edition statements are listed too.
- Edit the fields of a message: label (
optional,repeated,required), type, name and field number. Nested messages, enums andoneofblocks are nested cards. - Edit the RPCs of a service with their request and response types, and the values of an enum with their numbers.
- Add fields, values and RPCs; a new field gets the next free number.
- Reserved ranges, options and anything else the editor does not model stay as editable source.
Each change rewrites only the definition it concerns. Values are written when you press Enter or leave the field.
