Hex Editor
Binary files that no other view opens are shown byte by byte: executables and libraries, WebAssembly, Java classes, fonts, archives other than ZIP, databases, machine-learning models, Office and OpenDocument files, certificates and disk images. Any other file can be opened here too, with Open as → Hex Editor.
Each row shows the offset, 16 bytes in hex and the same bytes as text, with a dot for every byte that is not a printable character. The toolbar shows the size of the file.
The Hex Editor is read-only for now: it shows bytes, it does not change them. Files larger than 64 MB are not loaded. An empty file offers Open in Text Editor.
