Release Notes

This documentation describes Genexy IDE Beta 0.9.1. Beta builds are published frequently, so this page records versions rather than every build.

For the build-by-build changelog, open Changelog in the account portal or Help → Release Notes in the IDE. Both are generated from the published build and are always more current than this page.

0.9.1 Beta

Remote access (experimental)

  • connect to Genexy on another machine directly over an IP address and port, with a password and a confirmed certificate fingerprint;
  • connection over WebRTC: the devices try a peer-to-peer connection first and, when it fails, Genexy services relay the encrypted data between them; see Data and Privacy;
  • one client at a time, with a session screen on the host that can end the session.

0.9.0 Beta

Genexy left Early Access and moved to a stable Beta. This version is the baseline the rest of the documentation is written against.

Included

Workspace

  • native builds for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS;
  • Files explorer and editor with Git-aware states and nested repository detection;
  • horizontal and vertical reorderable editor tabs;
  • project-wide search and replace with regex and file-mask controls;
  • command palette and quick open;
  • seven themes, per-device appearance, zoom and layout reset.

Version control

  • Changes view with separate modified and untracked trees, staging and side-by-side diffs;
  • commit, amend, and commit-and-push using the device’s existing Git credentials;
  • visual commit graph with branch, user, date and text filters.

Tooling

  • native desktop terminals plus Genexy Shell on every platform, including Git on mobile;
  • managed language servers for JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, HTML, CSS/SCSS/Less, Python, Bash/Shell, Java, C#, PowerShell, C, C++, Rust, PHP, Go, Kotlin, Lua, Assembly, Swift, Ruby, Dart, Dockerfile, Protobuf, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI and GraphQL;
  • Docker containers, images, networks, volumes and Compose projects;
  • dependency inventory with vulnerability advisories from OSV.dev.

AI

  • Kiro, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Claude Code local agent integrations on desktop;
  • currently available free providers and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints;
  • agent, provider and model switching inside a conversation;
  • live tool-call progress, per-action approvals and Autopilot;
  • local chat history and attachments.

Account

  • support tickets and ticket notifications in the IDE and the portal;
  • authenticated portal for account status, downloads, changelog and profile.

Known limitations

  • Genexy CLI covers the AI chat only (agents, providers, models, settings and history).
  • The public API is in development and unavailable.
  • MCP is partially available and is not a supported public interface.
  • The Web IDE connects to a desktop Genexy IDE with Remote Access turned on; it does not open a project on its own.
  • Local AI agents, Docker and language servers are desktop-only.
  • Android and iOS use Genexy Shell instead of native shell processes.
  • Docker, Connections and Libraries are PRO features (€19 per month). AI chat is part of Free.
  • Ticket Notifications is still marked Draft.
