Support and Notifications

ACCOUNTIDE

The Support panel and the web portal use the same ticket system, so a ticket you open in the IDE is the same ticket you can follow in a browser.

Create a ticket

Pick the type that matches what you need:

  • Bug: a reproducible product problem.
  • Feature: a proposed capability or improvement.
  • Help: a question about using Genexy.
  • Other: anything that does not fit the above.

Write a focused title and a Markdown description. A useful bug report contains the platform, the build version, the steps to reproduce, what you expected and what actually happened.

⚠️

The editor warns when your text looks like it contains a credential, but the check is a safety net, not a guarantee. Remove tokens, passwords and private URLs before submitting.

Work with tickets

Tickets support search and filtering, comments and replies, voting, watching for updates, accepted solutions, and reopening a resolved issue. Editing can lock after an official Genexy response or after a ticket is closed, which keeps the record of the conversation intact.

Ticket notifications

Ticket activity opens from the bell in the Support panel: replies, answers, accepted solutions, status changes and moderation events. Unread items are marked, and opening one jumps to the ticket.

Ticket activity reaches both the IDE and the portal: replies, answers, accepted solutions, status changes and moderation events. In the IDE they are behind the bell in the Support panel header, which shows the number of unread items. Unread items are marked, Mark all read clears them, and opening a notification jumps to its ticket.

⚠️

Ticket Notifications is marked Draft in the portal. It works, but its behaviour and presentation can change during testing.

IDE notifications

The Notifications panel keeps the messages the IDE has shown you, such as a Git push that completed or a checkout that failed. Unread items carry a red dot, opening the panel marks them read, and each one can be dismissed or all cleared at once.

The Notifications panel at the bottom of the right activity bar is something else: the history of the messages the IDE itself has shown, such as a completed push, a failed checkout or a file that could not be saved. It needs no account. The bell carries a red dot while something is unread, opening the panel marks everything read, and each item can be dismissed or all of them cleared with Clear all.

Ticket or Discord?

Use a ticket when the issue needs a durable record: reproducible steps, attachments, status tracking, or a feature request other users can vote on. Use Discord for quick questions and coordination.
